Fellow Members,

The Club at Cheval recently announced its reopening date and we are excited for the return of the

Cheval Men’s Golf Association, or CMGA. Our 2026 calendar of events was recently shared by the Club.

To summarize, the purpose of the CMGA is to provide a membership run organization that will:

• Provide a larger slate of tournaments and activities for you to enjoy,

• Provide an environment to meet and socialize with others who enjoy golf like you,

• Provide Members a voice in our tournaments, and

• Include Bigger prize pools, and more.

The dues for the CMGA will be $75 for the 2026 year. Your dues will be collected and held by the

CMGA, with a full accounting of how your dues are spent. Your annual dues will provide you access to

participate in all CMGA tournaments and socials, the CMGA website, and CMGA private Facebook group

page among other things.

Since the announcement of the reopening of Cheval and the return of the CMGA, we have received

many questions: What is the CMGA? Why should I join? How much are the dues? What do I get for my

dues? How will my dues be used? These are all great questions.

To expand on the purpose of the CMGA, answer any questions, and discuss the CMGA events to be held

over the next year, we will host an Informational Session/Social in January 2026. The date, time, and

location is To Be Determined at this time. Please look for an announcement in mid-December. During

this session, we will be available to collect your 2026 dues with all dues for 2026 being due no later

than January 31, 2026. We appreciate dues being paid in check.

On behalf of my fellow board members, we are excited about leading the CMGA and getting it

reestablished in 2026.

In fact, our first CMGA tournament for 2026 will be held on Saturday, April 18th.

Hello everyone

Registration is now open for our next and final CMGA Tournament of 2024 which will be held on Dec 14th at 8:30am. This tournament will be our Cheval Cup Championship which is an Individual Stroke Play event. 

This is one of our biggest tournaments of the year with an additional $2,000 from our reserves being added to the purse.  

Everyone will play the tee that you most frequently have been playing and handicaps will be adjusted accordingly. 

Get your name in now to guarantee your spot in this tournament.  If we have enough players, we will create Flights.  Sign up as an individual or as a foursome of your choice.

Our CMGA 2025 season is right around the corner.  We will have the usual social events and will be planning for 6 or 7 Tournaments next season.  The 2025 member dues will be $75 for the 12 months.  Please feel free to bring your $75 member dues for the 2025 season to the Cheval Cup registration table.  Checks are accepted payable to CMGA.  

Hello everyone

The draft Thursday will be held in the Sunset Room. Start time is 7pm. Tournament players attending the draft will receive one drink ticket for a beer or house wine.

I have created visuals for the draft room, a flip chart and a white board so attendees can follow along. Can I get a volunteer to keep these updated throughout the draft?

Format – 4 man ABCD Best Ball, 2 best ball – One best gross One best net
